How soon can I have an anesthetic surgery after getting my wisdom teeth pulled under IV anesthesia?

I will be getting my wisdom teeth pulled next month and I want to get a different surgery soon after (as in within a month after). Both surgeries will use anesthesia for numbing/painkilling purposes. I don't know how long I need to wait between surgeries so that I won't hurt myself from all the anesthesia. The first surgery is just the IV anesthesia where I'll still be conscious but won't remember anything or feel anything. The second surgery will have me being totally unconscious with the anesthesia.

With a good anesthetist, you can have surgery one day after the first. I had a hernia repaired on the 22 of the month on the 24 of the same month I had another abdominal surgery. 4 weeks later I had a colostomy and have suffered no ill affects from it. Each person is different. On the 13 of Feb. I am undergoing another surgery, however this time I will be given an epidural and a spinal, they will then sedate me so I have no recall of the procedure. A bad anesthetist can kill you the first time out, relax and discuss it with him, he will ask you all of the important questions when the time comes. Good luck

It is nearly impossible to answer this question without knowing which anesthestics, what dosage, general or local, etc. Talk to your anesthesiologist, that's what they're there for. Have a good day.

In first case, which is called local, it is generally 2 hours . Doctor will give you antibiotics and pain killer so that you don't feel pain later.





In Second case, It is generalized. There are various mixture of cocktail of IV drugs plus Inhaled anesthesia will be given. It depends upon the length and severity of the condition and operation. However, Nowadays because of break through in medical science most patients are awake after 30mins to 2 hours. And again they will give you pain killer and antibiotics so that you don't feel pain for a while.
