Do you throw up after you get your teeth pulled by a dentist?

I have to get for teeth pulled and I heard that there is some type of medicine that makes you sleep and then some people get sick to their stomachs after. I hate throwing up

Do you throw up after you get your teeth pulled by a dentist?
trust me.....i've got the biggest case of emetiphobia! I've had so many teeth pulled and actually feared the very same thing and it NEVER happened to me. Don't stress....you'll be fine!
Reply:"Sick to your stomach" doesn't mean throwing up, necessarily. I could just mean nauseous. Anyway, I never threw up after having a tooth pulled.
Reply:Anesthetic often causes vomiting. Big deal, just think of it as practice for your binge drinking.
Reply:I've never thrown up after going to the dentist. I suppose if you took the gas you may wake up a bit sick to your stomach. But you don't have to be put under to get your teeth pulled. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and I was fully away.
Reply:i dnt think that is right. i have my teeth taken out about 2 - 3 times... and i just felt pain when he gave me anesthetic in my gums.. and than nth at all till the procedure was over and i the pain slowly came back after couple of hour ...
Reply:If you eat before you go to dentist. Sure you will throw out. The medication or injection they use they go straight in your stomach and pull everything out what you eat.
Reply:These are most common anesthesia used in the dental office. Injection of Novocaine with or with out Nitrous Oxide, and Valium....

Not many people are allergic to Novocaine, only time Novocaine doesn't work well is when the tooth is abscessed. Then a stronger form of anesthesia is needed. Like Valium. I really haven't known many who had a sensitivity to Valium...
Reply:The only times when I've been SICK after a dentist visit, after having teeth pulled.. was mainly due to the nitrous oxide I think. Just recently I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted, I was sedated via IV... I didn't feel sick at all afterwards, just sore. Every time the dentist asks if I want nitrous oxide for a procedure, I refuse it.
Reply:No.
