Ttc doc prescribed vicodin for getting wisdom teeth pulled?
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your pain. I hate tooth pain myself. I did have a toothache during one of my pregnancies and the OB told me to take only tylenol, but up to 2500mg a day! Which I thought was alot. I ended up having a blighted ovum, which is another story all together, but not caused from the tylenol. My neice was given Vicodin at the hospital when she was pregnant and it didnt seem to hurt her baby. I think if your doc says its ok, then it probably is. But if you personally feel you shouldn't then don't. You will beat yourself up later if something happens. Hope this helps.... : )
Reply:Don't worry too much about it. The FDA says Vicodin is a class B drug when used in pregnancy which means it is pretty harmless. Here's more info-- http://www.safefetus.com/fda_category.as...

Reply:Vicodin has not been studied closely in humans while pregnant, which is what I read about 3 days ago, I was looking for a friend that was worried about it. When I was pregnant my dentist gave it to me but told me to try tylenol 1st and use the Rx only as a last resort..

Hope this helps...
