Is it bad to drink alcohol before getting teeth pulled?

Okay, Im getting 4 teeth pulled on Saturday. But, on Friday I have a big party planned with all of my freinds and we drink lots of beer and liquior. Is that going to be okay or is that a very bad idea. i cant cancel the appt. b/c my ortho will be really upset b/c he told me to have them pulled before i go back. i need help i want to get drunk on friday!

Is it bad to drink alcohol before getting teeth pulled?
If you MUST get drunk. ONLY drink clear alcohol i.e. vodka, gin--mixed with only clear liquids i.e. tonic, sprite.

Have a vodka/tonic. Then drink lots of water--LOTS!!

And eat something so you can sober up. Try to sober up-- DANCE so you can sweat it out.

That's what i do since I go out alone a lot. If I drink/get drunk, I make sure to sober up before I even think about driving home.

I drink lots of water, dance a lot-pouring with sweat, and go eat out with my friends after the club.

Have fun!

If you can refrain-then don't get drunk. You will bleed a lot!

It was funny--the night I got my teeth pulled out, my ex-gf called me to come over for a b.c.--but fortunately we just fell asleep--in the morning, I wouldn't look at her because my cheeks were puffy, but then she asked why I sounded funny..I looked up and told her I just got my wisdom teeth pulled. It was soo funny! :)
Reply:Don't do it. You don't want to be hungover at the orthodontist's office.
Reply:It *is* a bad idea unfortunately. Alcohol thins your blood, so you'll probably bleed like a stuck pig during your tooth operation. I think you should forgo the drinking and be safe. (OR) Only drink a little. It's up to you though.
Reply:As long as you are not still drunk by the time you get to the office. you wont want to have a hangover though so dont drink til u pass out. make sure you have plenty of fluids though because you cant have anything to drink for a while!
Reply:You dont want to have alcohol in your system since it thins your blood and you will have a harder time clotting once they pull your teeth.
Reply:Get drunk on Thursday! Don't you know alchola thins the blood. It's not wise to still have it in your system when you go to the Dentist. GoodLuck (^_^)KAY
