Had three days of dendistry and five teeth pulled...ended up with a very sore stiff jaw...11 days later still?

After the tooth pulling i couldn't open my mouth any amount for as we speak 11 days still no better....woke up this morning and had an extremely sore and seized up heel bone on the opposite side of my body.....is this a sign of infection?....lock jaw?...or just poor luck? I can't bend my foot nor take any weight on it..as it is holidays doctors offices are closed and not sure if I should both emergency unit at out-patients

I'm a nurse. Go to the ER. Don't suffer see a doctor for these symptoms. You need medication to make you comfortable during this time.
Reply:It could be a sign of infection, although it is likely unrelated to your teeth. It is almost certainly NOT lockjaw.





You need to consult your dentist or a family physician or both.
Reply:You really need to go be seen even if its at the emergency room, people have died from getting their teeth pulled from infection, i would rather be safe then sorry Good Luck
