Does your hole close from getting a wisdom teeth pulled out?

I just wanted to know when you get your wisdom teeth pulled out how long does it take for your socket to heal and close

Does your hole close from getting a wisdom teeth pulled out?
The big gaping hole will probably be there for 3 or 4 weeks--it won't necessarily hurt, but make sure you don't get food stuck in it. After a while, your jawbone and gum will grow in so that there's no hole--it'll pretty much look like you didn't ever have a tooth there. But mine took a few months to close up pretty well. If you keep it clean, it'll heal, then some tissue will fill in the hole somewhat, and much later, the bone will fill in the bottom of the socket. By the time you stop wanting to stick your tongue in your tooth socket all the time, it'll be healed, and then just be patient.
Reply:For me it took about 2 weeks.
Reply:mine are still open..its been 2 years.
Reply:from days to a few weeks. it can be very painful, swish and spit with warm salt water and whatever the dentist prescribed
Reply:It took about two weeks for me too.
Reply:REPEND DON"T USE A STRAW YOU"LL HAVE DRY SOCKETS DO AS THE DENTIST PERSCRIBES%26amp; GET A CHEK UP / FOLLOW UP AFTER THEVE EXTRACTION
Reply:Yes, it does, by reorganisation and repair of surrounding tissues.
Reply:It takes a while to completely close to the point that you won't feel much of an indentation, but if you follow your dentist's advice you shouldn't have any problems.
Reply:If you keep it clean, gargle like you're supposed to, and practice good oral hygiene, they'll be closed within a few weeks. They might always have a slight indentation, however.
Reply:Well it depends Mine has been pulled out for about 3 weeks now and it's kind of closed but i kind of play with it with my tongue so it doesn't close yet. If you dont bother it, it will probably take 2 weeks
Reply:thanks for the clarification, because i was going to be a total smartazz...but since you asked so nicely...yes, and it may take a couple of months or so to fully heal.
Reply:it takes a long time. for me it took over 2 years.
Reply:It will close. I give it a couple of months.

Hope this helps!!!

:)
Reply:Mine took less than a week but it varys for different people.
Reply:WHICH HOLE U R TALKIN ABOUT %26gt;%26gt;I NEVER WISH THAT UR HOLE SHOULD CLOSE ....U WILL HAVE HELL OUT OF PROBLAMS %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;AND ONLY GOD CAN SAVE YOUR BOYFRIEND
Reply:Probably could take anywhere from a week to a month to heal. You'll probably eat carefully for a while to avoid irritating the sensitive spots. I never really noticed gaping holes, just wounds in the gums that have to clot and dry up.

Oh, and don't drink with a straw.
Reply:yes, it closes and heals quite nicely if you don't pick at it, like my son did. Usually right after the surgery, there will be a small stitch in it, it may need to come out or dissolve on its own. Regardless, use a Listerine mouth was to keep the area clean and do take all your antibiotics as prescribed by your oral surgeon. If you are having problems sleeping, try my Sleep Baby Blend for sleep using aromatherapy in the Natura Fan Diffuser found at my website below.
Reply:Yes. It took mine approximately two to three weeks to close.
