How was your experience? Pain? Diet? bleeding? the proccedure?

Make sure they put you out. I felt the needle, counted back from 100 (made it to 90) and the next thing I wake up not realizing its all over.

Mine went fairly well. Miserable for 2 days, food involved soup ice cream (darn) for that time before I was able to begin chewing small bites.

Healing was fast, little bleeding and the pills took care of the pain.

Other than that, rent a few videos have a friend hit the DQ and you'll be fine!

P.S. I wouldn't have gone back to do the other 2...which is why I believe its best to do all 4 and be done with it!

Good luck
Reply:you shouldnt feel a lot if the dentist is doing his job- they are bigish teeth and may ache afterwards -

of course they will bleed its just like having normal teeth out nothing different ! dont worry- xxxx

come back tomorrow and tell us there was nothing to it !!!
Reply:I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out a couple years ago. It is scary how they dont give you all the detail ahead of time and you go into the surgery blind. But I will help assure some of your worries. As far as pain..you will feel some discomfort but as for pain they give you lots of pain meds so that there wont be any pain. Just dont let the meds wear off. Eating is a bit difficult for the first week and a half but the foods that were the easiest to eat I found were apple sauce and mashed potatoes. You wont experience much bleeding at all after the first couple hours after the surgery. Hope this helps and good luck!
Reply:I had all 4 of mine taken out at one time. The pain in my teeth was not too bad. My biggest problem was that I sort of sea sick from being put under. Every time I would stand up or turn my head too fast I would have to throw up. It lasted for 3 days. The doctor said that this can happen sometimes because the anesthesia can mess with your inner ear and cause problems with balance and equallibrium. Hope this does not happen to you.
Reply:From personal experience... I had all four of mine removed at the same time as well... I was not "put under" I just got Novocaine and I also had nitrous oxide (laughing gas). The doctor numbed me up and pulled them all at one at a time. there was no pain during the procedure and I was able to drive myself home after wards. The only thing I had a major issue with was gaging on the gauze they put in my mouth. Other then that all was well. The doc gave me pain meds with sleep aid and I pretty much slept until the next day. I couldn't eat until the second day and even that was just soft foods. The third day I was pretty much back to normal.

good luck! It's not too terrible...
Reply:I was really scared too. They gave me some sort of pills to take before I went to the appointment, but they didn't relax me at all. They ended up giving me some liquid to drink beforehand and then "laughing gas" during the procedure. The day after it didn't hurt much because I had so many painkillers in my system. The second day after, I had chipmunk cheeks and was really sore. I ate lots of pudding, jello, ice cream and soup while I was healing. I made sure to buy those foods before I had the teeth removed. You won't want to go anywhere for a few days. My dentist also recommened to have lots of ice packs or frozen veggies (i.e. peas) to put on my cheeks. Then just throw ou the veggies later on. It helps with the swelling.
Reply:Mine had to be cut out (they even had to break one - something about being attached to bone??) and honestly, it didn't hurt that much. Afterwards, it was sore, of course, but not too bad. I didn't have swelling or anything. I only needed the prescription pain medicine for the first day %26amp; a half. After that, just a few Tylenols.

I wasn't put under. I had a local anesthetic.

After surgery, it's just like any other extraction. No drinking from a straw, no smoking, no solid food until it's healed, etc.
Reply:Not a clue. I was out and they removed 4 of them ...

actually, I think that's all you have
