I just got 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out, is it okay to smoke a cigarette?

Yeah, I just got 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out at.. about 8:00am today? It's about 12:00pm now.. Anybody know if it's okay?

I just got 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out, is it okay to smoke a cigarette?
NO it isn't. The suction created by drawing on a cigarette can and will create a dry socket, something that is extremely painful and difficult to heal up. Don't go there, take this as an excellent opportunity to quit.
Reply:It's never okay to smoke.

It might hurt ............
Reply:Don't know if it's good for you or not -- I

did years ago and was none the worse for

wear. Don't smoke now, and suggest that

if you ever thought of quitting, now is a good

choice to get a start boost.
Reply:Nope, will cause dry socket. Just take some pain meds and knock yourself out so you forget about it.
Reply:NO IT IS NOT!!!!
Reply:dont smoke...its not good for you
Reply:and your not sick or in pain?

I was told you could not smoke until the gums close. why is not in to knowledge.
Reply:IS IT OKAY TO SMOKE AFTER A WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION?

NO

WHY?

VERY EASY TO LOSE THE BLOOD CLOT AND CAUSE DRY SOCKET=WORST PAIN EVER.

IF YOU MUST SMOKE WAIT AT LEAST 48 HOURS AND GENTLY PUFF.

FYI SMOKING CASES DELAYED HEALING OF THE EXTRACTION SITES.
Reply:No this is an extremely bad idea for lots of reasons. Infection, the chemicals in cigarettes majorly slow down healing of any kind and the suction is going to cause more problems.
Reply:no you can get something called dry bone

its very sore and ache and takes up to 2 weeks

to heal completly!
