Mr. Oral Surgeon instructed me not to smoke for a few days after getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Will it be harmful for me to smoke vaporized weed?
Can I smoke after getting wisdom teeth pulled?
Maybe you ought to reconsider having them removed, since obviously they're all the wisdom you've got...
Reply:if I were you I would listen to the doctor because he didnt go to all the schooling for nothing .. pluse trust me I just got mine out and they put you on some very lovley drugs lol Report It
Reply:Anything with the same "sucking" motion as smoking or drinking through a straw puts you at risk for a dry socket, which is extremely painful. Its not recommended for a few days.
Reply:Perfect time to quit.
Reply:lmao dude. Really i advise you DO NOT SMOKE AFTER getting them pulled. You shoudnt smoke anyway. but smoking will dry out and infect the holes leading you to have surgery to cut out the dead flesh in your mouth. DO not do it dude Trust me
Reply:You shouldn't the vacuum from the inhalation can cause dry-socket and that is wicked painful! Not to mention Nicotine causes necrotic tissue.. (rotting).. it lowers the level of oxygen in the blood and inhibits healing... I am surprised he didnt advise you to quit before hand...
Reply:NO You will develop a dry socket. Which is when the plug of congealed blood breaks free of the socket where the tooth was exposing the root of the tooth.
Trust me from experience this is excruciating pain. It hurt so bad I went to the ER. Do not smoke till it heals. The pain is so not worth is.
Reply:Hello,
The oral surgeon recommended you not smoke to avoid a "dry socket". When a tooth is pulled,it leaves a big hole exposing bone and nerves.A blood clot forms in the hole protecting all those nerves. If you smoke, or drink from a straw , the sucking motion can dislodge the clot .Every breath will become VERY painful. I know this from experience.Labor and natural childbirth wasn't as painful as that dry socket.I can say in all honesty it is the most intense pain I have experienced. And the pain lasted for 2 full weeks.
I would suggest you listen to him and not smoke
Reply:DONT DO IT.....i smoked weed when i had mine taken out about 4days after and got really bad dry socket, it is soooo painful and not worth it!! Anything that involved a sucking motion is not a good idea, you can literally suck hard enough to break the blood clot and leave a huge hole!!
If you really insist, have a friend blow it in your mouth but that would take a lot of effort!!! haha
good luck, just wait a week or 2 , you'll live i promise :)
