I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out a few hours ago, what should I do afterwards?

The dentist didnt really tell me much. On the paper it said I should not rinse my mouth for 24 hours, then it says in another paragraph Minor oozing may countine for 24 hours.Should you develop brisk bleeding, remove the "jelly" clot that may form and be protruding from the socet, rince your mouth once.

Then it says Drink lots of fluids. And you may brush your teeth.

I'm confused about this?

Should I rinse or not, should I brush my teeth or not?

don't rise your mouth or brush your teeth within 24 hours because the blood clots are there to prevent excessive bleeding. after 24 hours you may brush your teeth and rise.
Reply:Do NOT BRUSH, u should relax and not do much to create a rise in blood presure. It is a mini operation and shoud b treat as one.

No alchohol, limited(no)smoking and when it heels (24-48)hours carry on and forget about it!

Drinking is fine but only cold drinks realy and avoid the wound, clot is not likely and bleeding usualy stops within hours. U should of had a gauze to kiind of bite on to help it stop?
Reply:nothing to eat aor drink for 4 hrs, then drink from the glass, not a starw as it could cause bleeding, soft food, eggs, oatmeal ect till numbness wheres off.. 2morw cand rinse and brush, u want a clot to formj so you do not get a dry socket, which is painful and has to be teated by your dentist. good luck
