my baby teeth were pulled out today, 2 of them.

for one of em, the new tooth was coming in from the side.

it didn't hurt except when he put in the needle.

but now it hurts.

only the one which has the new tooth coming in.

the other one is fine.

the doctor told me to take tylonel (forget spelling)

but it didn't take an effect at all.

it started hurting more after i took the 500mg pill

i'm 13, almost 14

what else can i do to make it stop hurting?

how long do u think it will hurt for?

It will most likely be sore for a few days, but it should feel better as time goes on. Can you take ibuprofen? That usually works a lot better for pain than Tylenol. You can also put a cold compress/ice on your jaw, over where the tooth was pulled.

Also, don't use Orajel. It's not meant for open wounds and you could get an infection.
Reply:Tylenol doesn't really work all that well on that type of pain. Try Advil (liqui-gels migraine relief are the best) or any other no-name ibprofen pain reliever. The pain all depends on you, really, it could be one more day or three. Try to avoid eating or brushing the area vigorously until you feel better.
Reply:Maybe an ice cube in a facecloth? To numb the area. Or Orajel? It probably won't hurt much longer than a few days. I think the Orajel (or something along those lines) is your best bet. But it feels terrible on your tongue.

Feel better soon!
Reply:your a wuss. and you screwed yourself by taking the weakest possible pain killer known to man. not only that, if you took more than 2 tylenol you will destroy your liver because it seems like you have never used a narcotic before. and you are extremely immature for your age. if your lost your baby teeth at 14, dont expect puberty until your 16
