My boyfriend is getting teeth pulled; I want to bring him something afterwards for a surprise; ideas?

He's getting his wisdom teeth out. He already told me he would appreciate an orange smoothie (no fruit seeds!), so I'm bringing him that, but I was trying to think of something else fun. Doesn't necessarily have to be food either. He likes chocolate, video games (loves PS2), classic rock, movies, and some shows on TV. (Scrubs, Family Guy, The Simpsons, History Channel/Discovery Channel stuff) He's also Brazilian, so he likes anything having to do with Brazil and Brazilian culture. :)

I think you've pretty much answered your own question :) Be prepared for him to be in a bit of pain and probably a bit woozy from painkillers. The fact that you care enough to go over when he's not feeling his best is a lovely gesture in itself. Don't be upset though if the visit is a short one. He may just want to sleep

Reply:Just be present, Give him hugs and compassion. He will not die from a tooth extraction. Ask him what he would like to have after you are there and then go get it.
Reply:If you take him a smoothie...he will have to eat it with a spoon. After extractions, you should not use a straw for a few days.

id say maybe get him like idn, a CD that he doesnt have or something? do you guys have any inside jokes that you could work off of to find something funny? He will be so happy no matter what you get him, but if its something funny and clever itll be sure to cheer him up.





u could get him a box of chocolates, or a strategy guide for some PS2 game hes having trouble with... idn... really anything u get him will make him sooo happy
Reply:Bring him applesauce, ice cream, chicken broth, and a long movie like "Cold Mountain" to sit and watch while he is resting in bed. Get him a good book that he has been wanting also. That will keep him occupied. Good for you being thoughtful like that.
Reply:well just remember that if you get him a smoothie, he isn't allowed to drink from a straw. when i got my wisdom teeth out my bf brought me card and my favorite drink. i'm sure your bf would like a card if you wrote something sweet and special in it. he'll be stuck in bed or on the couch for a while so you could bring him something that would help him pass the time like a new movie or a new cd or something like that.

Reply:Make sure the orange smoothee has 2 straws so you can share as you play a rented PS2 game or movie. You are so thoughtful. Better yet on wisdom teeth they might not want him to suck on a straw so spoon feed it to him. Make a care package with the game, movie, a little chocolate for a couple of days later and a book on Brazil. Something he can enjoy for several days.

and just spend the day/night in with him. He'll really enjoy being with you for the whole day. You can even take a little nap with him, maybe wear a revealing outfit, just for kicks. =)
