Last week I had 2 Wisdom teeth pulled. Six days later, do I still have to worry about dislodging the clot?

The top tooth was impacted, and stopped hurting roughly three days after being pulled. The bottom tooth was slanted, and pulled out, and bothered me five days after the surgery. I started rinsing with salt water four days after surgery. Today I think I may have dislodged it, but can not see well enough back there to confirm, nor am I in an pain, or is there bleeding.

if you took proper precautions for the first 2-3 days(that is for the first 24 hours no rinsing, for the first 1-2 hours no removal of the cotton, no eating of any solid food from that side for first 24 hours and not touching the extraction site...then chances are that you have not dislodged the clot...besides 4 days gone chances are that the clot would be firmly in its place....remember do not intentionally touch the extraction site...just leave it alone, let it heal properly, even if you feel that the clot has been dislodged this does not in any way mean that now you can play with the extraction site...leave it as it is and get it checked by a dentist..
Reply:you are still bleeding, go back to the dentist.
Reply:If you dont have anymore pain youre probably ok.
Reply:you are probably ok, i had the same thing happen-- i had all 4 impacted and removed all at one time...was a lot less painful than i expected!! just be careful that you don't develope dry socket--that happened to my cousin and she was in terrible pain.
Reply:I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled at once and I waited 10 days before drinking out of a straw, but some people said I was being a little over cautious. Dry socket is seriously painful. You will know in about 6-12 more hours if it dislodged too early. Good luck!!
Reply:Dude, if you blew the clot, you would be in the worst pain of your life. So your cool. Just dont suck on any straws for another week or so.
Reply:i know when i got my wisdom teeth taken ok i was worried about that too but after 6 days the hole wear the tooth used to be is basically closed so you probably have lost your clot cause it has to fall out for the rest of it to close as long as theres no pain its fine just make sure you keep washing it with the salt water
Reply:You should probably be fine since you're not in pain. I had all four wisdom teeth out and I remember that I was pretty much healed after the first week. I think the main worry with the clot is the first two or three days after the tooth is extracted - after that your body should heal pretty quickly.
Reply:You should be ok, just watch for large amounts of blood. (not just a little pink when you brush your teeth.) Did you have a follow up with your dentist/oral surgeon? Call them if you feel you need to.

I had all 4 pulled in May and I developed a dry socket. It hurt but not THAT bad. It will take several months before you are healed completely. I STILL have to be careful when I eat cold stuff. (Chew on the opposite side of your mouth)
Reply:Try warm saline gargles atleast 3-4 times a day.....Avoid touching the extraction site...Don't eat on that side for a while...

If you get an intense pain in that area or have a headache...See ur dentist again
