They Are Pulling out my tooth Thursday... What Should I Expect? Im Kind of Scared...?

Its A Baby Canine tooth. I was trying to wiggle it Out (the dentist said to) But its not loose At All.

What should I expect when i Go to get it pulled?

Like... What will happen? Will i be asleep? will it be completly numb?

AND, They will be pulling all of my baby teeth eventually, just not all at one time.

What Happens When You Get It Pulled??

When you go in they explain it to you.

Basically, i was really scared, but its alright really. They give you one injection in the roof of your mouth-this is the most uncomftable, but will be fine. Then they usually give you 1 or two in the area of gum where the tooth is. There not too bad honest. They just sting a bit. Then the dentist will wobble the tooth to make it a bit looser. Then they pull it out. It doesnt hurt one bit i promise. I thought i would and was pleasantly suprised! Once thats done, you have cotton wool in your mouth so it doesnt bleed too much.

When this happens your completly numb but not asleep. Very numb infact and you stay like that for a few hours after. Try not to drink any hot drinks, because you might scold yourself. and i wouldnt eat for a while after incase you bite your gum.

Overall, its not as bad as you think, its over soooo quickly. Just relax. Hope it all goes well.xxx
Reply:The dentist will normally give you the option of them pulling it or taking a shotto numb you so that you wont feel it. You will not be put to sleep though. I recommend the shot, you will feel the shot going in and it does hurt, and you arent able to drink or eat for a couple hours after because 1) it is going to be bloody and 2) you will feel like your mouth is a balloon ( but it wont look like it). When getting a shot to numb your mouth, you wont feel the tooth come out hardly although getting it pulled hurts very very badly.

Good luck =]
