I have a tooth infection Should I be Taking Antibiotic before Pulling My Tooth?
Yes, you should be placed on an antibiotic to clear up the infection before the tooth is pulled. Call your dentist and ask for one. Generally teeth are not pulled until the patient has been on antibiotics for 7-10 days. Check into it.
Reply:Worst answer ever. Report It

Reply:Personally I would go to a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for any recommendations. He/she will gladly show you what medications to take.

So for your answer, I say yes.
Reply:Generally they will give you an antibiotic to clear up any infection before any type of a procedure. I'd say, call your doctor to be sure.
